Great whale watching experience Great whale watching. A bit smaller boat, only 15 guests when we went. Nice knowledgeable guide, friendly staff. We saw two humpback whales feeding, saw a lot of them. All in all, exactly what we wished for when we booked.

Unforgettable So much fun! Our guide and marine biologist, Mada, was so kind and knowledgeable. Our captain, Odin, took us to not 1, but 2 whales! We watched these whales with a scenic view of the mountains behind them and it was an experience I’ll never forget! Thank you so much

An unforgettable whale watching experience This was the best whale watching trip we have been on. We were so lucky to have a clear sunny day. The boat is small, and there were only about 20 people on it. Mada, our marine biologist guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable , and kept us informed. We had about 30 minutes watching 2 humpback whales diving fairly close to us. With the engines switched off it was amazingly quiet and listening to the whales was an unbelievable experience. The tour was very responsible too with a high degree of concern not to get in the way of the whales’ natural behaviour. I would thoroughly recommend this trip.

Humpback whales socializing and a blue whale! During our recent trip to Iceland (early May), my wife and I did a whale-watching trip with Friends of Moby Dick – it was all around terrific! We were provided with warm weather gear that kept us comfortable; the boat was a nice size for a couple dozen people and good for moving around to see wildlife. And we saw lots of wildlife during our morning cruise–including humpback whales socializing and a blue whale! The marine biologist onboard provided a wealth of information and the tour took care to not stress the animals we were viewing. Thanks Friends of Moby Dick!

We went in April and it was a lot colder than usual according to the locals/our guide. We did not get to see any whales due to it being so cold but got to see LOTS of puffins. I was bummed we did not get to see whales, but no one can guarantee that. Our guide was knowledgeable and kind and we still had a fantastic time. I would recommend!

Hi, we experienced a superb voyage with you, thanks a lot. We saw white-beaked dolphins, a common minke whale and a splendid humpback whale making a spin in the air. That was really amazing. We enjoyed Mada's, marine biologist herself, comments on the species we saw. We highly recommend this family-run company organizing trips for smaller groups. Irena&Zdenek from Czechia

Had an amazing experience, we've seen two humpback whales at a close proximity. There was also an educational part which explained why you shouldn't go whale watching on a fast boat and chase the whales.

We were unfortunate enough to not see any whales on a trip in June 2024. However, we did see plenty of dolphins which came very close to the boat. We felt the guide could have gave us more information whilst on the way out of the bay in relation to what we may be able to see! There were around 20 tourists on the boat altogether, it didn't feel ultra crowded. Note this is a bit more ethical and they do not chase, which is obviously a good thing. Do not regret booking, enjoyed the experience!
